If you have encountered problems registering please tell us about it so that we can forward your complaints to INEC immediately. Please state the date, time and exact location where you encountered any problems as well as your contact information such as full name, email and phone number.
I spent about 4hours at the registration point - because I was on a queue. The sensitivity settings of the readers were adjusted to a rather high level. Senior citizens had difficulty registering (30-45mins). On the other hand, young people and 'bota' people with unbroken skin had it very easy.
ReplyDeleteWe had to ask intending voters to ensure their fingers were washed and dried, with as few scars as possible.
ReplyDeleteThe data capture officers were not very conversant with the machines especially in terms of handling exceptions. I had to talk them through how to capture the the data for a man who had lost a finger.
The software used for capturing the data would not provide guidance to the operators if a scan was not acceptable.
Nonetheless, generally people with unbroken skin were fully attended to in under 6-7minutes.
